BMW M3 at £50,625

BMW M3 Coupé PRESS RELEASE:
Price announced for BMW M3 Coupé
Further details of the new BMW M3 Coupé, the most powerful road-going M3 the marque has ever produced, have been announced.
The latest BMW M3 Coupé is a technical tour de force. The 420hp V8-engined performance car is capable of zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds, before going on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. But while engine capacity, cylinder count and output have increased compared to the previous M3's six-cylinder unit, engineers have managed to reduce powerplant weight and introduce elements of BMW's EfficientDynamics programme.
The use of lightweight engine components means the 3,999cc engine weighs 15kgs less than the previous 3.2-litre six-cylinder. Brake Energy Regeneration combines with an induction system featuring eight individual throttle butterflies and double-VANOS variable valve technology for the best performance. Such technology is why the BMW M3 posts a consumption figure of 22.8mpg on the combined cycle, an eight per cent improvement over the outgoing car.
The BMW M3 Coupé goes on sale in September 2007 priced at £50,625 OTR.

Alfa Romeo GT 3.7 Super by Autodelta

Autodelta Alfa Romeo GT 3.7 SuperAutodelta Alfa Romeo GT 3.7 SuperPRESS RELEASE:
Autodelta will race into Brooklands this week with the new 405 bhp Autodelta GT 3.7 Super
Following a successful 2006 programme, Auto Italia magazine is set to kick off its 2007 events with the always-popular Spring Italian Car Day at the Brooklands Museum, Surrey, on Saturday 5th May. London-based aftermarket design and tuning house Autodelta has always been committed to supporting Auto Italia events and so we will be present at this Saturday's Italian car extravaganza with a brand new bespoke model to lead out our comprehensive line-up, as well as offering information on the Autodelta European Tour 2007.
Autodelta is pleased to present for its première, at Brooklands, the most dynamic and powerful version of the Alfa GT Coupé yet – the 405 bhp supercharged Autodelta GT 3.7 Super. This car builds on the market success of the 320 bhp GT 3.2 Super (2004) and the 341 bhp GT 3.2 Super Evo version (2005), by pushing the Alfa V6 engine and chassis package to even more extreme performance levels – achieved without compromising practicality and drivability. The new car sees the 3.2-litre engine's capacity increased to 3.7-litre, coupled to the addition on the space-efficient Rotrex C38-81 centrifugal supercharger. The result is maximum power of 405 bhp and 375 lb/ft of torque.
The Autodelta range at Brooklands will also feature the 'jewel in the crown' – the new 348 bhp supercharged Autodelta Brera J5 3.2 C – a car that quite simply transforms the exciting Alfa Romeo sports car. Previewed last autumn the Brera J5 3.2 C was commercialized earlier this spring and demand for this potent conversion programme has already far exceeded our expectations. This model will be joined at the event by the Autodelta GT 3.2 Super, 147 GTA AM 3.2 Super and 147 GTA AM 3.7 Super. Finally the supercharged Autodelta 146 2.0, which recently won the 'Chairman's Choice' award at the Alfa Romeo Owners' Club Spring Day, will complete the line-up.
The Autodelta team, including Managing Director Jano Djelalian and General Manager Andrew Smith, will be on hand to explain in detail all our models and offer advice; as well as introducing the Autodelta European Tour 2007, for which some places still remain. (Auto Italia is also an 'Official Partner' of the Tour). We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
With its dramatic surroundings this event is always very popular, and new for this year visitors will be able to savour a superb new feature: now you can experience the excitement of the challenging new Mercedes-Benz World test track...in your own car! This will be the first time that the public will have the opportunity to enjoy this thrilling new circuit in their own cars. The acclaimed track is part of this exciting new state-of-the-art automotive complex that is set to enhance the Brooklands 'experience'.
This new feature will compliment the long running and highly popular runs up the historic Brooklands "Test Hill", still one of the few places in the UK where you can see and hear exotic cars in action at very close quarters. Enjoy the roar of a classic Ferrari V12 or high revving Abarth as the cars prepare for the short 1 in 4 sprint.
The combination of car demonstrations, club displays, aviation exhibits (including Concorde) and motoring exhibitions, and of course the Italian trade village makes this a great family day out. Also – and special for this year – will be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Fiat 500. For more information on Spring Italian Car Day please visit www.auto-italia.co.uk or www.brooklandsmuseum.co.uk.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren RoadsterMercedes-Benz SLR McLaren RoadsterMercedes-Benz SLR McLaren RoadsterMercedes-Benz SLR McLaren RoadsterMercedes-Benz SLR McLaren RoadsterMercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster: An open-air adventure for all the senses
Stuttgart, May 04, 2007
Mercedes-Benz will in future also market its SLR McLaren super sports car in the form of a roadster with a top. In common with Formula 1 vehicles of today, it, too, will be made of carbon fibre, a material that will endow the vehicle with a very high degree of safety as well as extreme torsional stiffness at the same high level as the coupé version. This gives rise, in combination with the racing-type chassis, to outstanding ride characteristics.
The maximum speed of the new high-performance sports car, which is powered by an AMG V8 compressor engine delivering 460 kW/626 hp, is 332 km/h, therefore at the same high level as the coupé. Although, thanks to its fully retractable top, the Roadster offers undiluted open-air driving pleasure in the highest performance class, its occupants in no way lose out in terms of comfort or the vehicle’s suitability for everyday use. Consequently, the new Roadster opens up a new dimension in refinement for open-top super sports cars.
Like the coupé version, the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster once again unites the legend of the successful SLR racing models from the 1950s with the innovative technology of modern Formula 1 vehicles from the Vodafone-McLaren-Mercedes team. Typical stylistic elements, such as the arrow-shaped tip of the Formula 1 Silver Arrow, establish a visual link with the racing cars. The SLR leg-end of the 50s lives on stylistically in the distinctive lateral louvers, side pipes behind the front wheels and the wide-opening gullwing doors.
The new Roadster benefits technically from the many years of experience of Mercedes-Benz and its Formula 1 partner McLaren. Apart from two aluminium engine frames, its body is made entirely of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials, making the vehicle an exception among high-performance sports cars. Especially for the Roadster, complex carbon-fibre technology has been intelligently further developed for the monocoque chassis. The result is low weight, exemplary energy absorption and, therefore, extremely high occupant safety as well as a degree of torsional stiffness hitherto unattained in open-top vehicles. This leads to outstanding ride characteristics of the kind otherwise found only in closed-top super sports cars.
The puristic top is suitable for high speeds
The exceptional qualities of the Roadster are attributable also to the fully retractable top, which blends harmoniously into the flowing lines of the SLR McLaren. Its newly developed roof material, which is available in three different colours, not only guarantees complete suitability for everyday use in all weathers, but also endows the high-performance sports car with characteristics that are exception-ally unusual in a roadster. For example, at 332 km/h, the maximum speed is at the high level of the coupé version. Conversation is still possible at well over 200 km/h on open-air journeys thanks to the favourable aeroacoustics.
The roof opens and closes semi-automatically in less than ten seconds, thereby combining the desire for convenience with the puristic character of the roadster. To open, the roof merely needs to be unlocked from the windscreen frame and be briefly raised, after which it folds away electrically. Since an aluminium cover is integrated into its front section, the roof elegantly closes off the top when re-tracted.
Sophisticated aerodynamics and racing-type chassis
In the wind tunnel, the Roadster has been optimised for high speeds with regard to handling, aeroacoustics and aerodynamics. It likewise employs the aerodynamic concept already known from the coupé version, featuring an airbrake integrated into the access lid and a diffusor in the rear bumper to provide increased downforce on the rear axle.
The open two-seater is equipped with a racing-type chassis featuring high-performance carbon-ceramic brake discs, thereby setting extremely high stan-dards. Its front-mid-engine provides for optimum weight distribution. With 460 kW/626 hp and a maximum torque of 780 Nm, the AMG V8 compressor engine, which is coupled to an AMG Speedshift R five-speed automatic transmission, accelerates the Roadster from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Unique safety and exclusive fittings
A high degree of safety is ensured by unique carbon-fibre crash elements, steel-reinforced A-pillars and two fixed roll-over bars. The comprehensive specification also features adaptive airbags, knee and side airbags as well as seat belt tensioners and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
The exclusive standard equipment includes semi-aniline-leather-upholstered carbon-fibre bucket seats which can be individually adapted to the driver and front passenger by means of differently sized seat pads; dual-zone automatic air-conditioning; a high-quality BOSE premium sound system; a multifunction sport steering wheel with gear-change paddles, and a navigation system with integral radio and CD player.
The new Mercedes-Benz SLR Roadster, like the coupé, is produced at McLaren’s Formula 1 factory in Woking, England, in accordance with stringent Mercedes-Benz quality criteria and will be available as from September 2007.

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti by Hamann

Hamann Ferrari 612 ScagliettiHamann Ferrari 612 ScagliettiHamann Ferrari 612 Scaglietti HAMANN Ferrari 612 Scaglietti:
For the gentleman driver with sporting ambitions
• Extensive aerodynamic kit with diffuser
• Sporty end mufflers for an even stronger sound
• Agile road-handling through sport suspension
• Split-rim light-alloy wheels "Edition Race" in 20 and 21 inch
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is the perfect vehicle in the Maranello sports car stable for the gentleman driver. The Gran Turismo is already a very noble means of travel as standard equipment, however particularly optically it can still stand some flashier details. Therefore a modification of the body stood at the top of the HAMANN engineers' to-do list. But the refiners from Laupheim didn't neglect sound and handling either.
Form and function assume a strong symbiosis through the HAMANN aerodynamic components. The sports car designed by Pininfarina acquired a front spoiler from the noble tuner from Laupheim to provide optimal downforce on the front axle, which also improved the optics of the largest Ferrari even further. The pair of side sills for the flank of the 612 impart an impression of lowered suspension. The rear spoiler helps to ensure optimal downforce on the rear axle, while clearly bringing a more sporting look to the rear view without disturbing the basic design. HAMANN achieves an even bigger modification to the rear view through a new rear end component with integrated diffuser, which also ensures more downforce.
As customary with HAMANN, the aerodynamic components are available in fiberglass and carbon-Kevlar.
HAMANN addresses the subject of wheels with its self-developed design "Edition Race". The appearance of the three-part, ultra-light, forged rim with cross-spoke design and black rim-star is characterized by the nine main spokes, which each branch out to form two more. Besides the exciting design, the titanium screwing is particularly pleasing to the eye. The cherry on the cake of the noble optics is the highly polished rim flange. Naturally HAMANN also offers the wheel as a complete wheel set.
Typical wheel and tire combinations:
front 9.0 J x 20" / rear 12.5 J x 20" - 245/35 ZR 20 / 335/30 ZR20
front 9.0 J x 21" / rear 12.0 J x 21" - 245/30 ZR 21 / 345/25 ZR21
With the aid of a chassis spring assembly, HAMANN lowers the center of gravity even further which even in a vehicle of this caliber still brings noticeable improvement to the handling.
Incontestably the sound of a Ferrari 12-cylinder is something completely special. The sport mufflers are made from in V2A stainless steel and are offered by HAMANN for left and right, each of which has double exhaust pipes (Ø 90mm). When ordering the sport mufflers, the 540 HP symphony sounds twice as potent as before. This also means that the twelve cylinders can breathe out more easily.
Naturally HAMANN also dedicates itself to the interior. Traveling should be made as pleasant as possible for the passengers. For example, an exclusive foot mat set in black in the Ferrari's cockpit makes it appear more homey. Of course HAMANN can also modify any 612 Scaglietti to the individual tastes of the customer, e.g. with lavish leather fittings in different colors or extensive multimedia configurations involving a DVD player, TV or PlayStation.
More information about the HAMANN tuning program can be found at www.HAMANN-motorsport.de

Ferrari Factory - Best Place to Work

Ferrari FactoryFerrari voted best place to work in Europe 2007
Ferrari is proud to announce that it has been voted Best Place to Work in Europe 2007 by the Great Place to Work Institute, having already won the Italian title. This award is a powerful endorsement of the enormous organisational and financial commitment made by the company in recent years to providing its employees with the best possible working conditions and to encouraging personal and professional growth.
Over a thousand companies throughout Europe participated in the survey which measures the degree of satisfaction of employees with their place of work and picks out the best working environments. This alone makes Ferrari's achievement particularly impressive. In 2003, the then Ferrari Maserati Group was voted the Best Place to Work in Italy but this latest award is the ultimate acknowledgement of the company's ongoing commitment to the personal growth of its staff.
At the end of the 1990s President Luca di Montezemolo launched a major project known as "Formula Uomo" in Ferrari. The project took its inspiration from the company's Formula 1 ambitions and successes. It covers three basic areas: workplaces and structures, professional training and international growth, and personal and family benefits. The principle underpinning of the programme sees human beings as the fulcrum of the company's work system and aims to enhance staff's abilities and stimulate their creativity by placing importance on the contribution each individual has to make.
Much has been achieved in terms of company structures since then: the Renzo Piano – designed Wind Tunnel was built in 1997, the Marco Visconti's New Mechanical Machining Department in 2001, the new GeS Logistics Area in 2002, the Massimiliano Fuksas' designed Product Development Centre and Marco Visconti's New Paint Shop in 2004, and the Maranello Village in 2006. The new Company Restaurant, also the work of Visconti, and Jean Nouvel's large Production Line building are both nearing completion too.
The company renovation programme involved a total investment in the region of 200 million euro.
Training is one of Ferrari's main focuses and this commitment to education has resulted in agreements with both Italian and international universities, specialist training programmes and work experience stints abroad. In 2006, 2,376 individuals (or 88.5% of our employees) availed of the company training courses which cover both managerial and professional skill-building.
Other Formula Uomo initiatives, however, centre more on personal wellbeing and social involvement. These include: medical check-ups for employees and their children, specialist preventative medicine programmes, participation in company events such as the "Finali Mondiali" and the unveilings of new cars, company stands at the various Grand Prix, sports groups and discounts in various commercial and service outlets.

Hamann BMW X5

BMW X5 by HamannBMW X5 by HamannBMW X5 by HamannPRESS RELEASE
Swabian Tuning for Bavarian elegant-SAV:
New BMW X5 with extensive modifications from HAMANN
• Aerodynamic parts for sportier debut
• Increase in performance for 3.0si, 3.0d and 4.8i
• Agile road handling through sport springs
• four wheel designs available in three sizes
One of the most successful cars of its class is the BMW X5. BMW only recently introduced its latest successor and HAMANN has already put together a complete program for the new X5. Hardly any area has been left untouched. Whether it's suspension, wheels, performance, interior or aerodynamics, the Laupheim German specialists provide clear individualisation launching far above the norm
New aerodynamic components are mandatory hence HAMANN begins with a new front spoiler that lends the SAV X5 a significant powerful feature. It´s mounted on the series-produced front apron. In back HAMANN added a rear apron seizing the design of the front spoiler to match. This component is also affixed to the series-produced parts. A further sporty accent shines through with the HAMANN roof spoiler, providing a stabilizing effect.
With such a large vehicle, every miniscule of power counts. For this reason, HAMANN reprogrammed the series-produced Motronic. The X5 3.0si received subsequently a power boost to about 14 PS/10kW and 25 Nm more torque. The X5 3.0d (with it's basic 235 PS/173 kW) is raised by the tuners to 265 PS/ 195 kW and 600 Nm and 8-cylinder model 4.8i jumps by 18 PS/ 13 kW for more power and torque increase as well. Not an easy choice!
Pondering over wheel choices will require the majority of customers´ time. Here are four designs of choice including PG3, Anniversary I and II as well as Edition Race.
The noble tuners from Laupheim present a multi-pieced wheel PG3 available in silver finish with high-polished flange. It´s characterized through the sporty five-spoke design. The one-pieced wheel Anniversary I portrays a light footing with its´ multi-spoke design. HAMANN supplies these in silver finish with INOX stainless steel lip flange. The multi-pieced light alloy wheel Anniversary II exhibits a multi-spoke design as well projecting a feeling of pure motor sports. The silver rims with high-polished flange reflects both nobility and luxury simultaneously.
The appearance of the three-piece, ultra light forged wheels Edition Race in crossing spoke design and black wheel spider is identified through its´ nine main spokes double-attached, branching and continually double-crossing towards the outside rim. Its´ stirring design becomes particularly noticeable through Titan studs. The high-polished flange is icing on the cake to complete this luxurious look.
PG3 and Anniversary I are available through HAMANN for the X5 in 20 and 22-inch, Anniversary II in 22-inch and the wheel Edition Race comes in an impressive 23-inch. Naturally HAMANN offers the wheels in form of complete wheel sets.
Typical wheel / tire combinations::
Edition Race : FA/RA 10,5 Jx23 315/25R23 102Y XL
PG3: FA /RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
PG3: FA/RA 9,5 J x 20 295/40 ZR 20
Anniversary II: FA/RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 20 295/40 ZR 20
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 20 FA 275/40 ZR20 / RA 315/35 ZR 20
By using a set of progressive suspension springs, HAMANN reduces the center of gravity for the X5. For those vehicles that have level regulation, it is lowered to about 40 mm in front, and for vehicles without level regulation or air suspension to about 40 mm in front and about 30 mm in back. Through this, the X5 receives a bit of agility back which, in contrast to its´ predecessor model, had suffered somewhat due to its bigger size.

Interior modifications per request
Large vehicles such as the BMW X5 are tailor-made for travel. Due to this, HAMANN also modified the interior. Travellers should have the drive be as comfortable as possible and additionally should provide a feast for the eyes. HAMANNs´ accessories such as an exclusive foot mat flooring in black, a foot pedal of aluminium or even an aluminium foot rest enhance the cockpit of the X5. Naturally HAMANN also modifies each BMW X5 for personalized customer requests. For example, extravagant leather decor is available in a variety of colours or an elaborate multimedia alterations including DVD, TV and Playstation.

Audi Q7 4.2 TDI for EuropeAudi Q7 4.2 TDI for EuropeAudi Q7 4.2 TDI for EuropeAudi Q7 4.2 TDI for EuropeAudi Q7 4.2 TDI for EuropeAudi Q7 4.2 TDI
Power and efficiency

Under the bonnet of the new Audi Q7 4.2 TDI is the most powerful V8 diesel engine that Audi has ever built. The eight-cylinder unit, which already powers the A8 luxury saloon, has a displacement of 4.2 litres and delivers 240 kW (326 bhp) and 760 Nm of torque – available constantly from 1,800 to 2,500 rpm. This gives the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI the performance of a sports car. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 236 km/h – these figures, too, are new records.
The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI transmits its power through the six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission to a sportily tuned quattro driveline, which splits the propulsive force 40:60 between the front and rear wheels under normal driving conditions. Audi adaptive air suspension is standard on the top diesel model. It resolves a classic conflict of interests by combining dynamic handling with the ride comfort of a luxury-class vehicle.
In the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI, the concentrated power of the mighty eight-cylinder diesel unit encounters a vehicle concept of versatile sportiness. Even on its debut the Audi Q7 set new standards in the SUV segment – now the 4.2 TDI is raising the bar even higher.
The standard comfort and convenience equipment of the range-topping diesel model also take it to the top of the class. The leather design package lends the interior an air of subtle luxury; the electrically operated tailgate makes loading easier. A new technical feature is the optional Audi lane assist system, which alerts the driver by means of slight vibrations in the steering wheel if it detects that he/she is inadvertently crossing a lane marking on the carriageway without indicating.
The engine: concentrated pulling power
Like all engines in the Audi Q7 range, the eight-cylinder diesel power pack belongs to Audi's new V-engine family. The angle between the cylinder banks is 90 degrees, the spacing between cylinders 90 millimetres and its overall length a compact 520 millimetres. The large TDI unit, with a displacement of 4,134 cc, has a maintenance-free chain drive on the transmission side for the four camshafts and the ancillaries.
The crankcase is made of vermicular graphite cast iron. The carbon in this high-tech material is integrated in lamella form. This gives the material superior strength and – typical for Audi – is an important factor in achieving the low weight for this performance category of 257 kilograms.
The V8 TDI is a masterpiece of engineering and demonstrates the leading role that Audi has assumed in the diesel sector. Its crankshaft is forged from chrome-molybdenum alloy steel, while the pistons are made of cast aluminium. Electronically actuated flaps in the intake tract set the intake air into a controlled swirl, depending on load; low-friction roller cam followers actuate the 32 valves.
Small, light piezo inline injectors that switch extremely quickly and with great precision are incorporated in the common rail injection system. They can achieve up to five injection phases per power stroke at an injection pressure of 1,600 bar. Two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry ensure ample torque at low engine speeds and impressive power at higher revs. Large intercoolers lower the temperature of the compressed air.
The 4.2-litre TDI delivers an impressive 760 Nm of torque to the crankshaft, a figure which remains constant between 1,800 and 2,500 rpm. The driver can enjoy tremendous power reserves at any engine speed. At 3,750 rpm the V8 generates an output of 240 kW (326 bhp). Thanks to the world's most powerful V8 diesel engine in the SUV segment, the Audi Q7 also boasts the sportiest driving performance of all diesel units in its class. The performance SUV from Audi sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in only 6.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 236 km/h.
Driveline: dynamic character
Power for the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI is transferred as standard via the six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission. The dynamic shift program (DSP) manages the gear shifts and orientates itself towards the driver's style and the conditions on the road. A special sports program supports a particularly dynamic driving style. The driver can intervene in the procedure, either via the shift gate for the selector lever or via optional paddles on the steering wheel. Since the tiptronic was designed from the very beginning for high torque, it did not have to be specially reinforced to interact with the V8 diesel engine.
Like all Audi Q7 models, the 4.2 TDI also has a self-locking centre differential, which features asymmetric/dynamic torque distribution. Under normal driving conditions it splits propulsive power in a ratio of 40 : 60 between the front and rear axle. If required, it delivers more to the rear or front axle, depending on the level of road grip: optimum traction is provided at all times. Ultramodern quattro technology provides for sporty handling, exceptional agility and remarkable steering precision.
Suspension: sporty performance
The suspension on the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI rounds off the dynamic personality of the vehicle. And it is equal to many a challenge – whether on rough terrain or on the road, where handling characteristics, driving safety and comfort set the standards. The adaptive air suspension, fitted as standard, completes the outstanding qualities. The combination of air suspension and electronically controlled damping with dynamic roll stabilisation creates a perfect synthesis of sportiness and superior ride comfort.
The driver can select any of three settings for the adaptive air suspension: dynamic, comfort and automatic, ranging from sporty and firm to extremely comfortable. Together with the off-road and lift modes the system offers five different settings for the body ride height. In off-road mode, ground clearance is 205 millimetres – normally sufficient even for demanding terrain. For more convenient loading, the rear can be lowered by 71 mm.
The basic suspension layout excels with its high level of sophistication. All four wheels are independently mounted on double wishbones; most of the axle components are made of aluminium. Servotronic steering with speed-dependent power assistance and variable ratio is exceptionally direct and precise, giving the driver a feeling of excellent road contact.
The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI leaves the assembly line with sporty 18-inch alloy wheels and size 255/55 tyres. The four brake discs are internally ventilated and generous in size – they are 350 millimetres in diameter at the front axle and 358 mm at the rear. Six pistons in the front brake callipers apply brake pressure to each of the discs; this technology, too, hails from the world of the sports car.
Equipment: distinguished luxury
The new Audi Q7 4.2 TDI is furnished with a range of standard equipment that exudes an air of distinguished luxury. This includes the leather design package with a choice of inlays in aluminium or three types of wood and seat upholstery in Cricket leather. The front seats are electrically heated. An on-board computer, a cruise control system, a multifunction steering wheel and the much-praised operating system MMI basic further enhance comfort and convenience for the driver. The electrically operated tailgate is a practical solution: its opening angle can be programmed as required.
Numerous assistance systems in the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI provide support for the driver. A new technology – Audi lane assist – is making its debut in the most potent diesel SUV on the world market. From a speed of around 65 km/h it alerts the driver by inducing a slight vibration in the steering wheel if he/she inadvertently moves out of the lane. If the driver has not indicated, the system issues the warning shortly before or while the vehicle is crossing the lane marking.
Other high-tech systems offer even more comfort, convenience and control. Audi parking system advanced employs a camera to monitor the rear. Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 by HAMANN

Hamann Lambirghini Murcielago LP640Hamann Lambirghini Murcielago LP640Hamann Lambirghini Murcielago LP640Hamann Lambirghini Murcielago LP640Hamann Lambirghini Murcielago LP640PRESS RELEASE:
Stealth-Bomber for the race track:
HAMANN Lamborghini Murciélago LP640

• Aerodynamic-components provide impressions of racing motor sports
• double-pipe stainless steel rear silencer
Wheels „Edition Race" in 20 inch
• Carbon-look interior set
• Complete interior kits to customer preferences on individual basis
It looks like a Stealth-Bomber on four wheels. It is one of the most masculine looking sports car and it is fast. The Lamborghini LP640 through its appearance gives a clear impression it's not just for show. HAMANN decisively set its goal to send a clear message and sharpened the Italian steer's horns. HAMANNs modifications through look, driving dynamics and sound create a distinct difference.
Maintenance of road contact is most essential when one is pushing a super sports car to the limit. To achieve greater downforce on the front and rear axle HAMANN offers a front spoiler as well as a rear wing. Whoever prefers to show their affiliation to motor sports can order the parts in Carbon-Kevlar instead of the fiberglass version. Where's the starting grid?
HAMANN applies further aerodynamic components in form of a two-part rear diffuser with additional air hoses for the extendable side air intakes, side sills as well as a two-part front wing and Carbon-pendants for the original side intakes in the sills in front of the rear wheels. Furthermore, a central running air box on the roof brings back memories of past Lamborghini Diablo GT-R days. Naturally, these parts are also available in Carbon-Kevlar or fiberglass.
Impressive sound and stunning rims
The HAMANN double-pipe stainless sports rear silencer (2x120mm end pipes) emits a sound similar to that generated from race tracks announcing the arrival of the blood-curdling steer. Positive side effect; an even sportier rear look. Export customers can extend their exhaust system with a HAMANN sport metallic catalytic converter.
Also for individualization of vehicles within this high performance calibre, a choice of new wheel design is inherent. HAMANN suggests its own creation „Edition Race". This multi-pieced, forged light alloy metal wheel with black wheel spider, "Y" spoke design, Titan bolts and high polished rim flange utilized for Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 comes in the combination 8,5Jx20" front and 13,0Jx20" rear. As expected, HAMANN also offers here a complete wheel set with typical tires sizes 235/30 ZR 20 (FA) und 325/25 ZR20 (RA).
HAMANN prepares the cockpit of the Super-Lambo providing even more sports racing atmosphere. For this, the tuners from Laupheim, Germany offer an 8-part carbon-look interior set. The race car look is established through instrument cockpit bordure, the air bleed jet, the gear shifting panel as well as the cigarette ashtray console. Naturally, HAMANN offers each Lamborghini customer preferred alterations on an individual basis. For instance, extravagant leather furnishing in a variety of colours is possible or additional of multi-media articles.
Further information to the complete HAMANN tuning program can be found on the website www.HAMANN-MOTORSPORT.de.
